Dad decided to shoot himself a deer yesterday. It's a nice looking 3 point. All bases have been covered, we cut up the deer last night and the tail is in a FedEx package on it's way to Lori as we speak.

You can check out some more photos in the Photo Gallery.

I'm Suing Costco!

I am involved in a $10 million lawsuit against Costco. I found out about it this last weekend. I received a letter that said I was part of a group of people that qualified for a class action lawsuit because I was Executive Member back in 2005 and Costco did not send me a rebate check for the last 2 months of the year like they were supposed to. This is kind of funny because I have actually complained about this to people. Oh well, it looks they have reached a settlement which is set to be approved on August 29 of this year. I am supposed to get a store credit for the amount I was owed, I can't seem to remember how much I shopped at Costco during the last 2 months of 2005, so I am not sure how much my check will be for.

I just thought I would share my first legal battle victory with everyone.

From the pictures it looks like the Mormon missionaries had a nice break-away going. It's too bad they couldn't hold it to the finish.

I'll be heading out my bike in a few minutes to ride up to the top of Big Mountain (the final big climb of stage #2). I'm putting my money on Tom Danielson to crest the summit first.

Virus Alert

This last weekend I spent a couple of days fixing Dads laptop because he had gotten a virus on it. Then I came into work on Monday to find that 3 people here, so far, have gotten the same virus. I wanted to just give everyone a good warning about this because it is not an easy one to get rid and pretty much requires a complete format and reinstall of your system. The virus infects your Windows System32 folder which basically handles all of the Operating System functions. It also copies itself to other folders throughout the system so if you try to copy your files before you reinstall, you will copy the virus and it can infect your new system.

This virus is packaged in an EXE file called PCPC_Setup_Free.exe. It poses as an anti-virus program (and it does a pretty good job of looking legit, I was pretty impressed actually) and offers to give you a Free scan of your PC. You usually run into it on the web by just surfing sites. It typically throws a pop-up window that says your computer is infected and you should run this scan. DO NOT click on the pop-up to run the scan. If you do click the pop-up Windows will then ask you to Run, Save the File, or Cancel. Whatever you do, DO NOT Run or Save the File. This is the point of no return, when you allow this to enter your system, there is no going back.

Wedding Shirts

Ok, our computer is being stupid & this is the third time I've written this so I'm sorry if it is messed up. Basically I found cotton shirts at almost every store I went to yesterday so you shouldn't have any problems. Things you should know: if the shirt is 100% cotton, but the embroidery is not cotton then it will still dye, but it won't be as dark. If the embroidery (or trim for that instance) will look good in a lighter shade of green, then go ahead and get it. It's your choice, just be aware that it will be a different color. Also, cotton shirts that are a light color instead of white will dye the same as white. So if you find something in pink that you like & it's 100% cotton then go ahead and get it. I also posted pictures of the two shirts I bought in the gallery. I think the tan one would be cute in green but I'll wait to see what you guys find before I decide which shirt to dye. Lexie, if you have an opinion on which shirt you like better then let me know & I'll dye the one you like.

BG,
Did you say we could put a picture with the recipe? I added a new one, and I have a picture, but I didn't see where to add it.

I'M GETTING MARRIED!

IT IS OFFICIAL! Lexie and really are going to get married. Lexie finally received the ring she has been so patiently, while tearing my room apart to find, waiting for. She was able to receive her ring over a nice candle light dinner of Pop Tarts and Sparkling Grape Juice. Who could ask for anything more wonderful... but don't worry, there was a point to the choosing of Pop Tarts for the special event.

So I suppose I will go ahead and give the rundown of what happened for those you that haven't heard the story yet.

It all started with the planning of trip to Salt Lake City to do run a few and and get some things figured out for the upcoming wedding in October. Lexie was quite excited to go and patiently waited for me to get off work at 5:30 on Thursday evening so we could take the day off Friday and have some extra time in Salt Lake City. Little did she know, we were not going to SLC on Thursday.

When I arrived home from work on Thursday Lexie was already packed and ready to go. All I had to do was throw some clothes in a bag and we would be off. Then I informed her that my mom had asked if she could catch a ride to SLC with us, but she had something she needed to do so she asked if would could wait until about 9 or 9:30 before we left. The nice guy I am, was happy to help out my mommy and had no problem waiting just a few hours. Lexie agreed that would be fine. Now we had a few hours to kill before we could leave so we decided to go to Target and look around for a bit, where Lexie became frustrated and let me know how tired she was getting of waiting to receive her ring and that she better get soon or I was going to be in trouble. I just kept my mouth shut and let her vent her frustrations... because little did she know she would be getting it later that night.

Around 9:00 I received a phone call that mom had gotten a ride to Saint George with GW so we just needed to pick her up at his friends house, which just happened to be located over by the Dixie Hill. We loaded all of our bags into the car and we were off to SLC.

As we came to the top of the Dixie Hill, Lexie realized that there aren't even any houses up there. Now the suprise was setting in. We pulled off to the side of the road and took a short little hike to an overlook of the city. There was a nice little Candle Light Dinner all set up on the edge of the cliff with a great view. There happened to be present waiting for Lexie on the table. When she opened it up, there was story book inside. The book title "The Greatest Day" was the story of an amazing adventure of someone named "Bg" and it followed him through the greatest day of his life where he just so happened to ask his girlfriend Lexie to marry him. Luckily it was really similar to what was going on at the moment. After she finished reading her story I got down on one knee with her ring in my and asked her to marry me... I was a little nervous but she was nice about it and said YES!

Afterward we sat and enjoyed the view while sipping on our Sparkling Grape Juice and munching on our Pop Tart Dinner. Then we decided it was time to head home.

We arrived home and Lexie, thinking her night was over, had yet another suprise waiting for her. Somehow while were gone to dinner rose pedals had gotten scattered throughout the house with candle lighting all around and complimented with some nice easy listening music playing. The music was provided by Pandora.com, if you have never heard of or used this site you are missing out and should go try it because it is probably best thing to come around since sliced bread.

So to top off the evening Lexie got to receive a relaxing massge under the candle light. It was an end to the perfect evening.

Since I know everyone is dying to see it, here is a PDF version of the book Lexie received. The Greatest Day

PS: After reading the story, people seem to think that I have this strange obsession with Pop Tarts. This claim is totally unfounded because I really don't care for them that much. So it would be appreciated if everyone would stop trying to give me Pop Tarts all the time.

Congrats, Brian and Lexie!!!

RSS Section Added To The Site

I have built a new RSS Feed section for the site. It is still new and I will continue to work on it. I put it up so people could enjoy it and have an easy place to keep track of all their RSS Feeds. Feel free to add your favorites to the site so others can enjoy them too.

For those of you unfamiliar with RSS, it stands for Really Simple Syndication. Basically what it does is go to your favorite websites and grab the latest content. Then you can display it all in one spot to make it easy to find the new stuff you want to go look at.
