Graduation is on December 14, 2007 (Friday) at 1:00 pm. Graduation will be held at the Dee Events Center. Posted below is the address and directions on how to get there.

Ogden is 30 miles north of Salt Lake City, about a 40-minute drive from the Salt Lake City airport.
From the South If you are on Northbound 1-15, take exit 326 near Lagoon. Travel north on US-89 to Harrison Boulevard. Turn right (north) on Harrison Boulevard and go approximately 3 miles to 4400 South. Turn right (east) on 4400 South, which is the entrance to the Dee Events Center parking area.
From the North If you are on Southbound 1-15 take the 21st street exit. Continue east to Harrison Boulevard (approximately 4 miles). Turn right (south) on Harrison Boulevard for approximately 3 miles to 4400 South. Turn left (east) on 4400 South, which is the entrance to the Dee Events Center parking area.
I am not sure what the plans are for afterwards but I assume that we will go out and get some food somewhere. All that want to come to the graduation and/or get your feed on are welcome.

| The Birth of the SaviorSubmitted by: JennHadley2007-12-04 Mark Staker, a curator at the museum, gave an interesting devotional thought this morning. He has a doctorate in medical anthropology, specifically studying the how various cultures go through child birth. He gave some insights into how the Savior was probably born. He said that Nazareth, at the time of the birth, consisted of 70 homes. In such a small town Mary & Joseph would have known each other all their lives. There is also a lot of evidence of some pretty nasty rumors about Mary's pregnancy. One rumor suggested that a Roman soldier was the father. As for the actual birth, it is very unlikely that Mary and Joseph would have traveled to Bethlehem alone. Their families would have had to make the journey as well, and it is most likely that they would have traveled with Josephs family. Which means that the entire family would have been in the stable with them. Mary's mother-in-law and sister-in-laws would have been there to help her. There are only two cultures in the entire world that require the mother to give birth alone; the Hopi tribe, and a tribe in Nigeria. I just thought it was very interesting to think of the nativity being filled with people instead of silent and alone. Thought you might think it was interesting too. | The Changing Face of ChristSubmitted by: Steve2007-12-03 This last Friday Jenn and I went to a lecture at the USU Tooele campus. I found it very interesting. The lecturer was an art history professor and he talked about how Christ has changed in art over time. Here are a few things that I thought were interesting.
Christ does not show up in any art for a least 200 years after his death (and resurrection of course). There were many anti-Christians that destroyed most things, but it is very odd that they would have been able to get to everything.
During the period of time that Christ lived beards were considered unclean. Thus, it is very unlikely that Christ had a beard. He doesn't show up in art with a beard until around 400 A.D. when beards are considered masculine. He is also often shown with a nice six pack. This seems to go back to a Greek tradition implying masculinity. However, in some works Christ takes on very feminine characteristics. This is likely to show his mercy.
Christmas is actually the combination of Christian and Pagan holidays. Constantine combined them to alleviate contention. So, commercialism really has been a part of Christmas since it's inception.

Let me hear ya say, " Yahoo, for Brittney!!!!". I am now a Radiation Therapist. That sounds just so wonderful doesn't it. Thanks to everyone who prayed for me or just had hope for me. I must admit, it was very strange. I doesn't quite seem real. As most o f you heard, we closed on our loan with the bank a week ago and we passed our final inspection this past Friday. We had to take a trip up north this weekend so moving was out.
Brian and Lexie were awesome though, they were nice enough to move our bed and a few of the essentials we needed to stay the night. Thanks Guys....
There are a lot of little things left to do but I don't care. We are finally out from under the rush of our construction loan. I few loose ends to tie up and I hopefully don't have to deal with the construction industry for awhile. (I realize that there good people working in this field but a few bad apples have really soured my views at the moment).
I think the difficult thing is going to be to stay on top of the little things and get them done. It would be so easy to get lazy and drag these things out.
Most likely my OCD will stay with me and eat at me until these things are done.

It is a 2003 Honda Accord V6 EXL in case some of you had not heard. It is a pretty green with tan leather interior and is loaded, including seat warmers and dual temperture controls. RSS Section Added To The SiteSubmitted by: bg2008-12-11I have built a new RSS Feed section for the site. It is still new and I will continue to work on it. I put it up so people could enjoy it and have an easy place to keep track of all their RSS Feeds. Feel free to add your favorites to the site so others can enjoy them too.
For those of you unfamiliar with RSS, it stands for Really Simple Syndication. Basically what it does is go to your favorite websites and grab the latest content. Then you can display it all in one spot to make it easy to find the new stuff you want to go look at.
