Gopher Thinks it is a Beaver

In the semi-rural city of Tooele, UT, a local gopher has mistaken itself for a beaver. In an effort to prove itself to the larger and more powerful mammals this gopher has taken to chewing through entire tree trunks. While successful it its task of toppling a tree it could still use some work on efficiency. The gopher brought the tree down by eating its entire root system until it reached the surface, at which time the tree came crashing down. Local beavers, if there were any, would have been quite impressed. Although they would have teased the gopher behind his back regarding his inefficient strategy and the measly diameter of the tree, while secretly admiring his stealth tactics. To the gopher's chagrin (or pleasure) the owners of the tree found it quickly after the attempted murder and have begun the cloning of five new trees from its stem cells (i.e. branches).

Dog experiences super awesome day! On day 405 Pumpkin was told by the chubby man that she could visit the semi-rural city of Tooele for some Gopher hunting. There is, apparently, a gopher that thinks it's a beaver harassing the good people of the city. With her expertise in barking at squirrels, the good people of the city pooled all their bacon to be able to bring the hero dog to their city. A report following the hunt will be posted.
